Legit or scam?

How do you find out whether a site is scam or legit?

Below are a few tips to keep in mind when you think about registering for a PTC site you are not familiar with.

1) Check out http://ptc-investigation.com/default.aspx
PTC Investigation has a wealth of information on many, many sites. I find them to be very accurate. You may find a new site though that they have not investigated yet. If you would like to register and you can't find info on the site you wish to register at, there are a few things to look out for.

2) If it's too good to be true, then it probably is really too good to be true. Sites, offering more than the regular amount per click are either scams or won't survive. Think about it, advertisers only pay that much. I've seen sites that offer a dollar per click. Anyone signing up for a site like that needs to do a little googling. Say, you get a dollar per click, no advertiser in the world is going to pay that much. It's completely unrealistic. Any site offering a dollar per click (I've seen them, they are out there), add them to your scam list. Pass by them without registering, don't waste your time.

3) Sites where you have to pay to sign up: you are registering because you want to make some money, you have no guarantee that you will get paid. Don't sign up when you have to pay at signup, you're likely throwing money away and will not see anything in return.

4) Look for payment proofs, and make sure you find plenty of them (unless of course the site isn't old enough to have paid already)

5) Payment proofs alone are not enough. Some sites will pay some small amounts before they turn scam or go poof. So, when you look for payment proofs, try and find some that are higher than a few dollars at the most.

6) Find out whether you have to invest or not before cashing out. Sites that require investment before cash-out are not necessarily scam sites, but if you are a beginner, I'd suggest you stay away from them.

7) Find out who owns the site, google the name and see if they have owned sites before that turned scam.

8) Google is your friend. See if the site is known to have issues.

  2. Hmm not sure about this one. I can hardly fins anything at all on it.
When you google "brandfiesta payment proof" you find two locations with payment proofs. One is on the forum itself here: http://www.brandfiesta.com/t80-payment-proofs
the other one, which isn't really a payment proof is here:
    http://www.emoneyspace.com/forum/index.php?topic=157353.0;prev_next=next
Second link is merely the owner of brandfiesta posting a link to the payment proofs.

Here is a link of interest:

I can't say I understand the concept - at all. Where does the funds come from that will be paid? Not from advertisers... beats me.

It is a relatively new site, not your usual PTC, obviously.. probably wait and see how this one pans out.
