Cash Camel

Click my banner to join.

Cash Camel is on the review waiting list at http://ptc-investigation.com/april2011.aspx so there may not be much info on it yet.
From what I can see so far, the site is well on its way to establish itself .
You can view the payouts here:
http://www.cashcamel.net/index.php?view=proof&sid=3277TWk0d016Y3hPRFUy&sid2=3277T&siduid=3277&

You can also see payment proofs in the forum:
http://www.cashcamel.org/viewforum.php?f=3&sid=34452776a78f8ff22c54bcefe4e0b9ed

The site is stable. I've been going there daily and have not seen it down once. The ads load quickly and smoothly.

What especially attracted me to the site is this:
http://www.cashcamel.org/viewforum.php?f=8
A nice section with some tutorials that have screen shots.

Minimum payout is very low ($0.01)  Keep in mind though that if a free member requests a $0.01 payout via paypal, it will be cancelled out because of the paypal fee, so if you're a free member, wait till you have $0.02 before you request cash-out.
Paid members with a 1 year membership don't need to pay a fee.

The site has over 100 ads a day. Earnings per ad are low, but as we know, a site can often sustain itself better that way. There is nothing you can do with $0.01 per ad if a site turmns scam because they can't pay anymore.

They have a forum and the admin is active in the forum, which is always a positive sign.

Even though I usually don't recommend any sites unless they are considered legit by PTC investigation, I'm going to stick out my neck and recommend this one.

Can you make a living with PTC sites?

Dozens of new sites pop up every week, but not many survive. Most of those turn scam sooner or later, and mostly sooner. You'll have put your energy into them, and then they disappear, along with your balance.

You'll never make a living by clicking ads all day long, it simply isn't possible. In order to actually make more than a few pennies, you need to have lots and lots of direct referrals.  Those direct referrals aren't browsing the internet, trying to find your link and sign up. Let's face it, it doesn't happen that way. It takes a lot of hard work to get direct referrals. Post in forums, make blogs, personally invite friends and family via email, etc... all of that takes time and effort, and then you've got to hope that your referrals will keep clicking. You depend on them.

On nearly all sites, you must click your ads daily in order to get your referral clicks. What if your computer crashes and you're without internet access for a few days... bye bye income..

If you want to make out decently on those sites, investing is almost a must, but at the same time, it is a risk. The site can disappear, or go scam.

If you make a living on PTC sites, I'd love to hear from you. Post your story here :)

Legit or scam?

How do you find out whether a site is scam or legit?

Below are a few tips to keep in mind when you think about registering for a PTC site you are not familiar with.

1) Check out http://ptc-investigation.com/default.aspx
PTC Investigation has a wealth of information on many, many sites. I find them to be very accurate. You may find a new site though that they have not investigated yet. If you would like to register and you can't find info on the site you wish to register at, there are a few things to look out for.

2) If it's too good to be true, then it probably is really too good to be true. Sites, offering more than the regular amount per click are either scams or won't survive. Think about it, advertisers only pay that much. I've seen sites that offer a dollar per click. Anyone signing up for a site like that needs to do a little googling. Say, you get a dollar per click, no advertiser in the world is going to pay that much. It's completely unrealistic. Any site offering a dollar per click (I've seen them, they are out there), add them to your scam list. Pass by them without registering, don't waste your time.

3) Sites where you have to pay to sign up: you are registering because you want to make some money, you have no guarantee that you will get paid. Don't sign up when you have to pay at signup, you're likely throwing money away and will not see anything in return.

4) Look for payment proofs, and make sure you find plenty of them (unless of course the site isn't old enough to have paid already)

5) Payment proofs alone are not enough. Some sites will pay some small amounts before they turn scam or go poof. So, when you look for payment proofs, try and find some that are higher than a few dollars at the most.

6) Find out whether you have to invest or not before cashing out. Sites that require investment before cash-out are not necessarily scam sites, but if you are a beginner, I'd suggest you stay away from them.

7) Find out who owns the site, google the name and see if they have owned sites before that turned scam.

8) Google is your friend. See if the site is known to have issues.

Clixsense

Click the banner above to join.

Clixsense is considered an elite site. They have been on line for years and paying since 2007.
The site is very easy to use and looks clean, especially since the changes in layout they made in March 2011.
You get a few ads a day, and when you check back now and then, you'll get some more. Clixsense is one of my best earners, many ads are worth 0.01, which is quite good compared to many other PTC sites.

Neat thing about clixsense is that you can win a bonus while clicking (play the clix grid game to win). Bonus is as much as $5 which is a lot on a PTC site. I've never won, but my friend wins regularly.

At clixsense, you can now upgrade via your main balance, which is a major asset for a PTC site.
Minimum you need to cash out is $10

While I haven't tried it myself, a friend told me you can sign up for surveys through clixsense, he has made $12 with surveys in about 2 weeks.

Clixsense is one of my favourite sites and I'd warmly recommend it to anyone.

How much can you make on PTC/ Aurora sites?

How much you can make on thiose sites is a very difficult question to answer. First off, it depends on whether you have referrals or not and whether they are rented or not.

I remember the huge outcry when neobux went from $0.01 to mostly $0.001 per click, but you've got to keep in mind that many sites give less than $0.001 per click. At Cashcamel for example, you'll get over 100 ads, but you'll make $0.00005 per click.
Is that good or bad? In my humble opinion, that is not bad. Why? Because look at the buxhost sites, nearly all of them give $0.01 per click, but they go belly up in no time. I don't think that giving all clickers $0.01 all the time, is realistic, unless you charge the advertisers an arm and a leg. So, when you think you are not making enough per click, think about it this way: if you made more, you could be clicking on a site that will go scam or disappear in the near future.

When you click all on your own without any referrals, I wouldn't suggest to quit your day job yet, because you will not make much at all. Between 12 sites where I click, almost without referrals, I currently make $0.50 a day.
Some people with referrals do make good money, just go to the forums and check out the payment proofs.

Referrals (direct referrals) do make a difference, so if you want to concentrate on making money, you'll need to concentrate on getting referrals. Ask friends, family, post about it, etc..

How many sites should I register at?

How many sites you want to register at really depends on you, but I'll give some -hopefully useful- tips.

There are literally dozens of new PTC sites popping up every week. Sad truth is that a lot of those disappear after a while, some will disappear as quickly as a couple weeks after they have started. Especially buxhost sites can disappear quickly and are often bound to fail, because buxhost makes it really easy to set up a PTC site. Anyone, as inexperienced as they may be, can start a bux site in a matter of a few minutes. Starting a site is easy, but maintaining it, pay your members and keep existing without starting to lose money is not as easy. No doubt a lot of those sites start with all the best intentions in the world, but many fail.

When you start signing up at PTC sites, make sure they are legit, paying, and have been around for some time. For example, the sites mentioned in this blog here (easy to find via the index over to the right) are all sites that have been around and paying for years. They are relatively safe to sign up at.

I would not suggest to put all your time and energy in one single site, because it can go wrong at any time. If you are a beginning PTC-er, start with a few established sites such as the ones mentioned in this blog.  Personally I am registered at 12 sites where I click every day. Some of those are slow earners, but being registered at 12 sites makes it worth it more or less.

Just don;t register with more sites than you can handle. Even though you don't need to spend a lot of time on each site, it can add up. Between the 12 sites, I spend about an hour a day.

BuxP

Click the banner to join

BuxP is up there with my favourite sites, along with clixsense and neobux.
They have been on line and paying for over 2 years.
The ads are mostly 0.001 but you get a lot of ads, some days I see more than 50 ads, and it adds up quickly. They also have a video section where you can get paid to watch videos, plus an offers section.
One disadvantage is that the site can be down sometimes, but that usually doesn't last long, so check back regularly.
I highly recommend checking out this site.
